I upgraded the memory to 32gb and went for the I7 processor. It is more than adequate even for application developmemt heavy users ( I use it for software development and testing running several virtual machines). 5 stars for sure. I wish I could have it with the carbon exterior, but that's really nit picking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] solid overall laptop. the X1 Carbon's have been the most durable laptop according to our field operations employees. our company doesn't store files locally, so 512GB or 1TB hard drive has no impact. i would recommend 32GB of RAM speed or above. you can easily tell the difference between 16GB RAM and 32GB.
