Just installed but haven't used. However this bar looks really good with excellent textured section and plain stainless steel ends. Not a decoration but very useful and well designed and heavy duty grab bar.

Works great.
It's simple enough. Has a shiny, presumably rustproof finish and a pair of rubber gaskets to prevent dirt or mold from accumulating under the mounting plates. Stainless steel screws; be sure to pre-drill the holes with a 1/8" bit. Feels exceptionally solid and has nice knurling on it to ensure a secure grip. Price is good, too: I don't know why this one costs less than the 12" grab bar.
