Expanded quickly, and even though it's not fully expanded because I've only given it 30 minutes I am 270 lb it's extremely comfortable well made definitely worth the price of $120 plus tax if you're looking for a twin mattress that I'm sure it's got a hold up to many nights of sleep I suggest this particular mattress you won't be disappointed
