The shipping container was visibly damaged when it arrived. I have no way of knowing when or how it was damaged. The item was very heavy, and I didn't want to return it if the item itself wasn't damaged, so I opened the box and inspected it. The packing foam inside the box was also damaged and there was a loose zip tie in the box, but the item was not visibly damaged, so I assembled the item without difficulty. When I used the item, it made a clunking noise in the right pedal assembly; very annoying. The clunking was persistent and occurred at the same spot in the pedal rotation. Again, not wanting the inconvenience of returning the item, I removed the pedal and case on the right side to inspect the interior and observe the flywheel in motion and look for loose connections. Everything seemed to be in order, and the clunking noise was not present with the case removed, so I reassembled the case, reinstalled the pedal and case. The noise is gone and has not returned. Since I found nothing amiss in the interior, I do not know what was causing the clunking noise, but I suspect something was knocked out of alignment when the box was damaged, and was corrected when I reassembled it.
