Walmart’s “Verified” badge
Walmart’s badge means that both an organization and the individual are an authorized user via a trusted third-party system called Deed. Once Verified, organizations and “Authorized Users” have access to Walmart’s Spark Good community benefits including signing up for Round Up, creating customer facing registries for needed items, applying for Walmart stores or Sam’s Club Spark Good grants, and our nonprofit toolkit.
Deed Verification
Deed validates and verifies that the organization is in good standing and that each individual associated with the organization is deemed an “Authorized User” from that organization.
Authorized Users
Deed verifies only the primary account owner for each organization. All other Authorized Users associated with the Deed account are authorized by the organization’s primary account owner. Authorized Users include employees, contractors, staff, and agents of organizations. Authorized users must be at least 18 years old.

Multiple Chapters or Locations

Requirements
For an organization to become Deed verified, will need to provide a minimum of the following:
- Organization’s primary email
- Organization’s Paypal Business Account Information
- Additional information or interviews as required
If you or your organization is unable or unwilling to provide any of the requirements listed, Walmart and Deed may not be able to serve you. Additionally, Walmart occasionally screen for other reputational or good actor behavior that may exclude some organizations or individuals from eligibility at any time without notice. Walmart reserves the right to refuse services or funding to organizations that do not meet the verification and reputational requirements; exclusions may include organizations that deny service, membership, or other involvement on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, veteran, or disability status.
Information sharing
To provide a seamless user experience and access to Walmart’s Spark Goodnonprofit community benefits, Deed shares an organization’ nonprofit’s basic account information, including emails of Authorized Users, minus any bank account information, with both Walmart Inc. and the Walmart Foundation.

Walmart does not share with Deed any personally identifiable purchase history or Walmart.com account activity, by its customers, Verified organizations, or their Authorized Users. Further, Walmart does not share identifiable customer information with an organization, unless permission is explicitly granted by the customer. In the case of donations, only an order number and first name for accurate reporting purposes are shared with the nonprofit.
