Worked great! Make sure to remove all rust , dirt and oil from your stove before trying to adhere the gasket. I've had zero problems using this product.

Nice to have one that sticks on and stays in place (sort of). Sanded/scrubbed out area to accept this, but it didn't want to stick in one part, so I added a quick set glue and that did the trick. SInce it was for the top closing part of my wood stove, it was great to have an extra cushion. The previous rope caulk was too skinny and did not protect the cast iron when the heavy lid was dropped shut. This semi-flat caulk was thicker and a better cushion. Glad to have it not go clunk! any more when I drop it to shut the lid quickly. Perfect! Highly recommend, and do have glue on hand.
