I live in a first floor apartment on the main street of a small town. Normally I have kept the window drapes closed and sit in the dark since the sidewalk is 10 feet from the front window. This Shoji screen allows me to block the lower portion of the window so that I can sit in the living room comfortably and have the drapes open, letting in sunlight yet blocking the view passersby have of me sitting in the apartment. Easy to take down to ahve the full view of the ourtside and easy to put back in place.

I looked everywhere for a way to effectively hide my cats' litter box, which is large (3 cats) and which only fits in my small bathroom, in a corner adjacent to sink pipes. The litter box is too large for a conventional cover, so the next-best thing was a screen, for both cat privacy and human sensitivity. No such screen to be found--until this one. The 24"" size blocks the litter box from view, it fits comfortably underneath the sink pipes, and the black color even goes with the bathroom's color scheme. The screen stands upright by itself and the segments fold back on themselves, making daily cleaning of the litter box quite easy. I realize this is an unconventional use for this screen, but cat owners will appreciate the difficulty of finding something both practical and ""tasteful"" for ""cat decor.""

We needed something under our desk to hide all the cords from computer, phone, lamps, etc. This fits perfectly, matches the finish of the desk and hides everything.

Cuts off just enough of the counter to save me and my co-workers from having that awkward glance with each entry. Gives me a feeling of privacy. A wee pricy.
