the 2 handy pockets can hold all your "stuff"i.e. iphone. meds, tissues and much more. I love this product and consider it one of the most helpful of all my helpers. I am 88 yo and have trouble sitting up from a laying position (loss of strength in my arms) but it is a wonderful help in getting out of bed. Anyone could use this Safety Handle Bed Rail.

This bed rail is sturdy, well made and my son said its easy to install. It helps me pull or push myself up to a sitting position so I can then get up to use my walker or adjust positions in bed without requiring someone to always help. Its height is adjustable and has pockets to hold a cell phone, book, iPad, tissues or whatever you would like to be within easy reach. It has arms which slide underneath the mattress and safety belts which attach around the bed frame to secure it. The rail extends down on both sides to rest against the box spring which prevents it from tilting if you push against it. It makes me feel much safer and more independent while I recover from a broken hip and leg. I highly recommend this bed rail.

My 89 year old mother lives with me. She's been struggling with getting off %26 on her bed but lately she's rolled off of it several times. I decided to try this and it absolutely works!!! I also love the fact that it helps me to sit up. After falling out of bed twice and hurting my hip, I decided I needed this guard. It is a life saver for me.

Works great for my elderly relative who was having difficulty getting out of bed and fully out of bed.

This assist bar has been a big help for my spouse who is recovering from a serious illness. However, what should have been an easy install wasn't since the rods on one side were not aligned properly and the click in tab wouldn't attach. It took nearly an hour with a small metal file (luckily I had one!) to file down the inside hole so we could finish the set up. Also, be aware that straps going under and over the mattress hold it in place and if your mattress is heavy, you'll need some help.

I am unsteady on my feet these days, so I'm always looking for something to lean on to help me balance. Getting out of bed has been particularly difficult, but I received my bedside safety handle yesterday, and my son installed it for me. Getting out of bed was much easier for me this morning, so I'm very pleased! It seems very sturdy, and it stays tight against my bed frame and mattress. I definitely feel safer. I would recommend this product for anyone with stability issues.

Cannot use the ties on a temperpedic bed. A bed that moves up or down will break the strap. We find that the weight of the mattress plus the pressure of the person using it works fine to use.
