This is the best investment if you want to avoid throw out your knifes! First I put the angle knob to the "Kitchen 18" but after the first knife adjusted to "16" and now all of my knifes like a razor. Easy to use just read the direction before start the sharpening. Do not try the knifes' edge with your fingers, bad idea!

Great tool. Next size up from my original Pocket pal. Handy features like recessed-button pressure flashlight, easy to use fire starter and whistle, compass is true. As always, sharpens great, just like my first Pocket pal. Nice mix of critical tools. Thanks, Smith's.

Poorly made piece of junk! Does not sharpen well and top dial fell off second tine I used it.
