It is such an amazing set! Keep in mind this is a set based on the live action little mermaid, but I loved building tjis set so much and it looks so much more beautiful in person!😅 I definitely recommend this set if your thinking about buying it then get it! It was worth every penny!

First of all, let's address the crab in the clamshell (no pun intended), it would have been nice to get a new piece for Sebastian. With that said, the crab piece included is obviously meant to be Sebastian. This is not a set to give to a child who is expecting a red hair Ariel and a blue and yellow Flounder. But if they have seen the movie, then it will make sense. Overall the set is just beautiful! Yes there is some diversity in minifigures to represent the actual cast from the movie. I really liked the choice of colors in the set and the balance that is achieved means it has a more mature feel compared to the mini-doll based sets I would buy for my daughter. I should know because I am a dad and too many bright colors hurt my eyes. I think the back of the set is fine. Does anyone really complain about the back of  a painting....it's just for function and structure and it's out of sight. I assume the price would be unnecessarily higher if the back were also covered up. Anyhow, enough said. Five stars from me and yes I purchased this set for myself and with my own money. My daughter won't be getting this one to switch around the heads and torsos as she does with her other princess sets :) Lego please now give us a nice big adult style ship to go with the movie.

I had been looking for this Lego set and found it on Walmart.com. The price was good, it was shipped/delivered on time and there was no damage to the packaging. I am enjoying putting this set together.

This set like all other Lego sets are easy to assemble following the step by step instructions provided. It includes several figures you can move around should you want to change the scene from time to time. It's a must own for any Disney movies lover!

The techniques used in this set were awesome. I absolutely loved how three-dimensional the build was; it never felt like I was solely building 'upward.' I was building up, out, around, diagonally, and it was really cool to see the different tricks used to do that.

I really enjoyed this set. It was a fun build, not boring. Pretty colours and I love the diversity of the Lego minifigures. This was a cute build, more for me than a playing set. I read a lot of comments about the back being incomplete but it would have been a pain to display if it had the back so didn't bother me personally. I'm glad I bought it overall.

I absolutely LOVE this set! It was fun to build! Only thing I don't like is how the backside of the clamshell looks after built. If it had a cleaner look to it I'd give it 5 stars for the build.

The box came damaged and covered in tape. I called Walmart three times and the promise of a refund never came through. My problem has still not been solved.

Your lego site now says Out of Stock, I can fully understand why. I purchased this item and have so far, from 1 bag and I'm not just saying 1 part, I'm saying multiple of the same part, sent a request for lost parts. My daughter bought me the Mermaid display case to put it in but, now it's useless as there is nothing to put in it. I might end up using it as a flower pot SAVE YOUR MONEY GUYS.....DON'T BUY IT.
