What caught my attention with the MEHOOM 6 Tier Metal Desk File Organizer were the sliding mesh shelves. I already have a 5-tier solid metal tray organizer, but those shelves do not pull out. I also like that you can use it with or without the side storage boxes. The boxes hook onto the frame securely, although they can slide a little. 🟣 The frame itself comes as one piece, so assembly mostly involves adding the shelves. The instructions were not very clear and mentioned a setup video on the product page, but I could not find one. Even so, once I figured out which shelf went where, assembly took less than 5 minutes and required no extra tools. 🟣 One thing that is misleading in the product photos is the shelf design. The pictures make it look like 3 horizontal shelves slide out, but only the 2 middle shelves actually do. The top shelf, bottom shelf, and angled top shelf are screwed into the frame. The shelves do slide smoothly even when loaded, but if you pull them out too far they can come completely out. You can also adjust the number of shelves, which is useful if you need extra space for taller items. 🟣 Another thing to note is shelf size. The photos make the angled shelves appear similar in size to the flat shelves, but the angled top shelves are much shorter at about 6.5" compared to the full-sized flat shelves at about 9.5". Also, because of the side panels, the shelf width is fixed, unlike open-sided organizers where you can slide in longer items if needed. 🟣 The metal frame feels reasonably sturdy overall, but I do question how durable the mesh shelf panels will be long term. It also comes with 4 rubber feet, but using them made the organizer wobble on my surface, so I left them off. At the time of this review, the price was around $25, which feels reasonable. I would not have paid the original listed price of around $53. 🟣 WRAP-UP: This organizer stands out because the pull-out shelves actually make it easier to access papers and supplies compared to standard fixed trays, and the adjustable shelf setup gives you some flexibility. Assembly is fast, but the instructions are weak and some product photos are misleading about the sliding shelves and shelf sizes. The shelves glide smoothly, although they can slide all the way out if you are not careful, and the fixed side panels limit what size items fit inside. I also have some concerns about the long-term durability of the mesh shelves. Definitely not worth $52....it's small and really not too sturdy and you can't really fit much in it:/
