The door has such a high luster finish thanks to Homax, PEST CONTROL: Can be used for stuffing the wool into gaps and holes to prevent rodents from entering, as they cannot chew through the metal fibers. My suggestion is to cover the steel wool with a layer of silicone to be sure the steel wool doesn't rust. If a rat etc tries eati g into the silicon it will likely stop but if not then the steel wool will not be exposed much. CONCERNS; Rust and cuts. Whatever you use it on make sure it is a fresh pad as it rusts quickly! Use it wisely by cutting off how much you need by using scissors as it can leave your fingers /hand with very fine cuts. Also I suggest using vinyl gloves… not the disposable ones… because they will tear quickly when using the steel wool. Picture of restored hazed mirror!

This multi-use product has saved my sanity in my determination to keep mice out of my older house. I have stuffed steel wool into every gap, big and small, along the floor in every room, upstairs and down, to seal out any entry way. So far, so good!

I have used the steel wool pads for years. I use them on mirrors, shower doors, car windows, and windows in my house, both inside and out! You would think steel wool would scratch the surface, but it doesn't at all. It removes water spots with little effort. Highly recommended!

Coarse-grade, non-soaped steel wool. May pull apart as needed for specific project need…from plugging rodent access areas, to scrubbing lime/calcium/mineral deposits from sink fixtures. Chemicals didn't take off the sink fixture buildup, but the steel wool did! Used it on porcelain sink also with perfect results. Use varied pressure by need to avoid unnecessary scratching but l didn't have that problem on a tough area of applied pressure. . Good product and the price was acceptable for the amount of product received.

I've used this steel wool for refinishing furniture before. Now I need it for keeping rodents from chewing through the walls of my house.

When I used it to scrub shower door , right away it was all rusty, it was terrible in fact I don't think I will used for my cleaning job.

this item should not be for sale. when I used it there was black filthy powder that came out and went all over my bathtub and sinks it took me a long time to clean it up. using this product is like using dirt to clean. I'm disgusted and extremely unhappy that this product is being sold.
