I really prefer the synthetic brushes for the softness and spring

Still learning after all these years. After getting a bunch of flats, with the long bristles and wondering why- thanks for the better description and pictures of the brights. Use them for pretty much all my painting in watercolors and acrylics. Love using them for lifting paint as well.

As a detail-loving watercolorist and illustrator, I am constantly trying new products which will help me find the effects I imagine. This one delivers! The lifting qualities are unsurpassed. One complaint: I'm 70 years old; where have these been all my life??

I bought it as it is very stiff, to remove small watercolor paint markings (errors). But I found it works wonderfully to create lines through my finished flower painting to imply movement. Not an expensive true WC paintbrush. But rather a tool. Very good price.

This fan brush is excellent for painting things like grass or fur, the brush tips are splayed apart perfectly for this and have a good spring to it, also easy to clean

I use this with W&N water-mixable paints and they work very well, much better than other brushes I tried.

Works great for me. Love the straight edges it creates, and stiffness. Great for lifting watercolor.

I bought them in several sizes. I use them with plain water to lift color for effect or to correct mistakes.

These are good quality brushes that hold their shape well. Although synthetic, they are stiff like hog bristles and work well with the water-mixable oil paints. Beware that the sizing is a little different than I'm used to-- or instance, an Artisan #14 is only as big as other brand's #8. It would be helpful if the actual size (width of the ferrel) was posted in the catalog and on-line... hint, hint Jerry's!

I needed synthetic brushes for water-based oils. My acrylic brushes were to soft and floppy. This brush has the right spring to it.
