So... Pros first.
-160% SRGB coverage 100% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3
-4K
-Great response time (to my eyes anyways)
-Doesn't use KSF phosphor(thank god)
-Really well tuned gamut clamps
-Ridiculous color accuracy especially when calibrated
-2 HDMI 2.1 FRL6 48gbps
-Above average uniformity
-Well built, sturdy and it has an amazing stand
Cons
-HDR is useless as this doesn't have any useful local dimming
-Issues with DSC(might've been my previous GPU)
-Out of 3 units 1 had dead pixels
The only thing I really want to add down here is that I personally had an issue with this monitor and the XFX 6800XT I was using. I resolved all the issues by switching to a 7800XT. So I'm not sure if the fault lied primarily with the monitor or the GPU.
The issues were as follows:
-Not being able to enter the BIOS
-The monitor waking itself from sleep every 30 seconds
-The computer made the device connected/disconnected noise every time the monitor woke itself up
-Trying to use HDMI 2.1 resulted in Adrenaline only showing 8 and 12-bit color
-Selecting 12-bit color resulted in black screening every couple seconds in game
I'm probably forgetting a few things, but this monitor was basically just not compatible with that card. With this new 7800XT it's working like a dream. I would recommend not using this monitor with an RDNA2 card. I have a feeling some of the issues with this monitor stem from the fact that RDNA2 only supports FRL5(40gbps).
I don't really have much else to say here. The image quality is incredible on this thing and even with the performance hit, I'm super happy that I sprung for a 4K monitor. The gamut clamps on this thing are so nicely tuned for regular desktop use. The P3 clamp results in a little bit of under-coverage for P3, but it looks fantastic with SRGB content. Yes.. It's a bit over-saturated, but it's just enough extra, "pop" to make everything look great.
Overall.. Highly recommended. Just exercise caution with RDNA2 card or older Geforce cards that don't support FRL6.
Final note.. If your eyes are sensitive to KSF like mine are, you'll have a great time with this monitor. It's uses an AUO QD IPS panel that does not use KSF.
