Hocus Pocus Organizing

It was like magic. With our garage stuffed and scattered, the Fast Track system allowed for off the floor storage for smaller items and then we were able to tuck large items under the shelving. The smaller footprint allowed me to park my car in the garage for the first time in YEARS!

Design Quirk

I bought three 84" rails and one 48" rail because I had seen the system in a neighbor's garage. The 84" rails are great because, with 16" on center framing, you can mount it so that there are only two inches on either end that are unsupported. It's a different situation with the 48" rail - you can have as much as 16" on both ends that are unsupported. That should have been a 50" design.

Basic design failure

I echo the criticism of the 48 ins rail which should be 50 ins to accommodate 16 inch studs. This has been a routine observation and yet there has been no attempt to either correct the situation or comment on the problem by Rubbermaid in the instructions so people like me don't waste time trying to figure out how to hit 4 studs. Angling the screws is a ridiculous solution!!
