LG NeoChef 2.0 Cu. Ft. 1200W Countertop Microwave, Black Stainless Steel

This microwave is honestly the best I've ever had! There are multiple functions that I love about it and I'll name a few. First, I LOVE how easy it is to clean!!! As the Mom, I'm the one that “happily” goes behind everyone and cleans up their messes. As life goes, I generally find microwave messes hours later and everything has dried on. Well, the LG NeoChef made cleaning up a breeze. Seriously! All I had to do was wet a paper towel and the mess glided right off of the microwave! 10+ minute scrub sessions no more! Second, I previously hated heating up our glassware with our food because the glass would get piping hot and the food might be lukewarm. Again, the LG NeoChef put other microwaves to shame. The Smart Inverter really lives up to its name and gets the food hot without scalding your hand on the glassware. Additionally, the large capacity interior with rounded back and ultra-stable turntable is second-to-none. I have fit my large soup bowls, pizza boxes (seriously), and even heavier 9x9 casserole dishes in there and this microwave handles it all with ease. Thinking about putting 3 or 4 bowls in there? Do it! I'm sure they'll all fit (or at least mine have)! Lastly, the incredibly helpful tip sheet on the inside of the door is awesome. I don't like overheating my food nor do I like having to reheat 10 different times to warm my food. Fret no more because there is a tip sheet at your finger tips! With having a young child, time and effort is of the essence and this microwave doesn't disappoint. All in all, I've been so incredibly happy with this microwave! I honestly haven't found anything I don't like about it and I'm generally good at “making improvements” - if you catch my drift. I highly recommend it! This is a well-designed microwave, with features that work well. Excellent design features are 'touch-sensitive' keypad, bright lighting, and cooking/reheating programs. 1) Chamber accommodates large casserole dishes, and turntable rests on a well-designed support. Unlike other microwaves, a central peg of the turntable docks into a port making its centering a non-issue, and the 6-points of contact prevent misplaced vessels from tipping the glass turntable. 2) Cooking and reheating programs are well designed, and the sensor heating settings make it easy to reheat a cup of tea, or lunch/dinner. Not having to set time for this feature is a great design. Just press 1 button to reheat a cup of coffee, a bowl of soup or a few slices of pizza; leaves the guesswork out and does not overheat. We do not use this for cooking dishes, but the sensor cooking feature has made it easy to cook-up a few potatoes. 3) The LED lights are bright. However, their location is perhaps the only thing that I would 'tweak'; consider placing a second set of lights on the left so the light is not obscured when placing hands inside to retrieve dishes, or place the LED lights on the back panel, so that they light the entire chamber uniformly. 4) The tune at the end of a cooking/heating cycle is a nice touch; I prefer it to the loud ring in other microwaves. 5) There is one issue I have always had with microwaves (not this model-but all); why do the doors always open to the left. Is it not possible to attach it to the bottom so that it opens like a toaster-oven. This would allow its placement on a counter to be more flexible. Perhaps, this feature is not possible, but if it were-would be worthy of consideration. Overall, a well-designed microwave with a number of excellent and useful features. Seems to be well built. I cannot comment on how well this unit will hold up over time, but our other LG appliances (Range, DW, Refrigerator, and WD) have held up very well over the last 5 years.
