This is a one night sleeper bed. If you need a spare place to give guests or kick your hubby out of the bedroom. ( haha) It is not comfortable to sleep on unless you can put something very effective under the mattress to offset the spokes.. but you "would" need something to offset the spokes and a very thick good mattress to soften it up. I suggest thick 10 inch plush ( but also beware of the weight of the mattress and anything you use to offset the spokes as this deducts from the weight limit of 350lbs. you will feel the spokes if it is not set up with something under your mattress between it and the spokes.. That is inherent in Daybeds. It is nice looking and holds about 350 lbs or less as they say. It is the size of a standard twin, so If you are maximum 5 ft 10 tall .. it is probably ok , but over that NO. Easy to put together if you can follow instructions it took us an hour. WE are usinf it as a temporary couch for convenience in our living room until I can find a good size sofa. You need alot of pillows to support your back and bring you forward to sit upright as a sofa use, since the back of the bed behind you, if you use it as a sofa , in even the twin size is far from the back to lean on. It squeaks alot too. so you must decide from there if this is for you and how.

This daybed is relative to what you need it for and how much space you have. Let's say, " it has it limitations." It does need "a purpose". If you have a careful plan and know what you are matching it with, how you need to use it and how long you need it you can consider this daybed . However its not 100% comfortable to sit on because you need several really big firm back pillows to be like a couch back to sit on, since the back is so far from you where you sit on it. My purpose was to have day seating and possible sleeping, in a small space, using a couch/bed, which did not overwhelm the room( in an approximate 20 x 18 living room.) I needed simplicity, easy care, movability, low price and a reasonably versatile modern look and neutral color as well as not overwhelming the room; incase I decide to change everything later , have different needs or just get sick of this style. Most couches are too bulky, hard to keep clean ,too heavy to move, damage easily due to the inherent nature of their use, have materials which hold odor and bacteria as well as germs, wear out causing the filling to fall out all over due to cleaning, spills stains, odors , moving, wear
