Stove Top DirectionsPick a Protein: 1-1/2 lbs., cut into bite-sized pieces⢠Smoked Sausage ⢠Cooked Chicken ⢠Shrimp.* Cook: Mix 3-3/4 cups water; Rice Mix, meat of your choice and 2 Tbsp. vegetable or olive oil (optional) in 3-quart saucepan until well blended. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover. Simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender. *Add cooked shrimp during last 5 minutes of cooking time.Enjoy: Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.

Jambalaya didn't disappoint
I made per directions and added grilled polish sausages to the rice once it was cooked. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. The reduced sodium made for the perfect amount in the rice, it wasn't over salted and was delicious. I had enough for 3 meals. I ate for lunch the next two days. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quick flavorful side dish that goes with just about anything!

Taste like the original
I got this for free as part of a promotion but have been a loyal Zatarain's fan for decades. I'm sure like most people, my doctor has been on me to lower salt intake to help with my blood pressure. So I was excited to see that to see this reduced sodium version of there jambalaya mix. I made it with some leftover chicken breast and some smoked sausage and it was just as delicious as the original mix. I thought it might be less spicy but it still left that perfect burn that I was accustomed too. I would highly recommend it to anybody trying to make their doctor proud.

Simple and easy
This was a simple and easy meal to make. The directions were clear and was able to made by a teenager. The jambalaya needs a protein like a sausage to add flavor. The salt content of it was spot on to account for a tasty protein. Definitely will purchase this as it made for a quick meal during the week!
