I had to buy this to get rid of cigarette smell from a tenant. We sprayed it very generously in the rental. The rental smelled like an ashtray. The stuff worked at the time that we sprayed it. After a day or so and coming back, I smelled the stuff plus still some cigarette smell. So I would say that it sort of works. Maybe you just have to use it several applications or several days.
