The color was a tiny bit darker than I thought it would be, but that was actually a good thing. The surprising thing was that even though the rug arrived folded, it was easy to spread out, and the folds disappeared almost immediately. The other surprising thing was how very soft to the rug is under our feet. We had no idea it would be this soft. We really love it. The price is also good as well.
