I bought this coffee grinder because my own, which I like very much, had so much plastic touching the coffee, which is acidic, touching the coffee. This grinder definitely has less plastic actually touching the beans/grinds, but it still has a little bit. The grinding is not bad, but if you put in 12 cups' worth of beans, you will get a few larger chunks.
