Alba Botanica Baby Sheer Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50, 3 fl oz

When I first tested this sunscreen, it came out white and I immediately thought, "Great... another 'clear' sunscreen that isn't." But once I rubbed it in, it actually did turn clear, which was a pleasant surprise. It absorbed well and didn't leave a heavy residue. I usually rely on the Alba unscented spray for daily sun protection, but I picked this one up specifically for a trip abroad since it meets airline liquid requirements. If I don't come back with an update, that's a good sign-it stayed on and protected my skin from burning. The scent is nice and not overpowering. That said, I did notice some inconsistency. On certain applications, it appeared white and stayed that way, and it didn't always spread evenly. One bottle caused irritation and a rash, which was surprising since I've used other Alba Botanica zinc products without any issues. The texture felt uneven, almost like the white and clear components didn't fully blend. Despite that experience, this is still one of the only sunscreen brands we regularly use for ourselves and our children because of the clean ingredients and reliable sun protection. When it applies smoothly, it works extremely well-no clumping, good coverage, and strong protection. Sunscreen is so important, especially for kids, and when this formula works as intended, it's absolutely worth the investment.
