Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's ideal body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. Nestle Purina research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. The Best Food Possible for My Boy!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I find that with this blend, my puppy is alert, focused and is "growing like there is no tomorrow!" I like the shredded blend because one can see that there is real chicken in it and my pup cannot wait until mealtime. This blend is not hard to digest nor does it create a smell on his breath. I love the fact that my pup can barely wait until I put his dish down.

My Puppy loves this food.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We use this food for meals, but she likes it enough that we can use pieces of kibble for training also. Her coat is soft and shiny. She is healthy and growing like a weed. I will definitely be sticking with Purina Pro Plan when she grows out of the puppy food.

Since it's a lot, I store it in a garbage can and transfer to a smaller container in the kitchen to keep it fresh
