normally I would say that you need to see your doctor first. they didn't let me see a doctor. I only saw a nurse. she said I had a low functioning thyroid. and then she didn't prescribe anything. I got this as a last resort. I went from sleeping 18 hours a day to functioning like a human being again. I think this stuff is great.
