Tips for Battery Care and Use:

Duracell batteries are a reliable and important source of daily portable power. To ensure you get the most from your Duracell batteries, follow these general "DO" and "DON'T" tips for proper battery use and storage:

DO - Keep all batteries in a safe place away from children and pets, particularly the smaller sized batteries.

DON'T - Remove the battery label, or attempt to take the battery apart, or dispose of in a fire as this may lead to rupture and/or chemical burns.

DO - Store batteries, in their original packaging, in a dry place and at normal room temperature until ready to use.

DON'T - Attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. This can cause your batteries to overheat or leak.

DO - Use the correct size and type of battery specified by the manufacturer of your device.

DON'T - Carry batteries loose in your pocket or purse as they may create a safety risk. They can be shorted by contact with metal objects and may leak, overheat or rupture.

DO - Replace all used batteries in your device at the same time. Insert batteries properly, with the plus (+) and minus (-) terminals aligned correctly. CAUTION: Some equipment using more than three batteries may appear to work properly even if one battery is inserted incorrectly.

DON'T - Mix old and new batteries, batteries of different brands, or batteries of different types (for example heavy duty zinc chloride batteries and alkaline batteries) in the same device as this may cause the batteries to leak.

Duracell

I buy Duracell batteries out of habit. In the before times, they were the best I had access to. But lately I am somewhat disappointed with their longevity. Currently, all sizes run their course and require replacement all too soon. That said, I am nothing if not loyal and Duracell remains my battery of choice. Watch for sales and other retailers from which to purchase. In your search line type, "images of Duracell batteries", Enter. This will give you multiple options of vendors. Then choose the least expensive. MATH Calculation: Divide the number of batteries in a package with the final cost and compare with the price per unit. Don't mix apples and oranges. AAA with AAA, AA with AA, etc. Happy Holidays

Too many leaking batteries

I have at least 3 dozen each of AA and AAA batteries, all with at least 5 years left before the expiration date printed on the cells. I throw some out every month for premature failure due to leaking, some in storage and some installed in devices where the leaking induces corrosion on device battery terminals. I am about to throw them all out in favor of another brand.

Not what they used to be -AT ALL !!

Since the 70's I sold/used Duracell, they were the best battery and never corroded. Now any time I open a unit with batteries in it for even a reasonably long time, CORROSION and the damage to the unit that corrosion does. I will no longer recommend duracell, they have lost their way (PS: this battery said it was good until 2023)
