Wow! Many choices for a hori hori and I didn't want to have to pay a lot. This one was a great price, it's very sturdy, nice thick steel blade. The handle is a comfortable grip. It's sharp. I was able to easily and gently dig out a bit of chamomile that (oddly enough) began growing in my driveway and transplant it to a pot. The serration makes it easy to cut unruly vines. Makes it easy to dig straight down to find good roots for foraging and medicine. I love it. It doesn't come with a cover but I'll figure that out later.
