Honestly, if a person would take their time, have a bowlcwith water and some dish soap, run this comb threw the cats fur...checking the comb to see if a flea is caught...if a flea is caught then quickly dip the comb in the soapy water. You can get rid of the pets fleas doing this and I use Diatomaceous Earth, food grade. i carefully dust my cats with it, then i use a full but sorta soft bristle brush to brush the DE into the fur. And that is all i use on my cats. They are inside/outside cats. Since its really hot and flea season here in South Arkansas they only go out in the morning. At first i did think needed the strong topical flea chemical...i washed it off my cats. it stunk and it made them sick. I bought 2 flea collars which are still in the box. Nope, im not putting that crap on my cats. I did shake some Diatomaceous Earth food grade on my carpeted areas but very lightly, i put it in cats beds and hiding places which i vacuumed after 2 days. i washed all things they laid on, vacuumed every 2 days. That was weeks ago. I don't have flea problems. IF I SEE THEM SCRATCHING THENSELVES I GET THIS COMB AND BOWL OF SOAPY WATER, CATCH THE FLEA AND DROWN IT. THATS IT! NO FLEA PROBLEMS! THE COMB IS GREAT!

I have bought it for the little kitten. Because of the fleas we had to give them up. The comb was difficult to hold onto. Didn't have a good handle. But we kept the product anyway. Just in case we're going to need in the near future been using this product for a long time. Works great, have to pay at the store a lot more. The price is great.

Prefer This Comb Over Ones With Handles

I like this flea comb so much more than the ones with the handles. It is easier to maneuver over my cat. Also, I dip the tines of the comb in a little dish of water with a drop of liquid detergent in it which kills the fleas. Again, easier to dip this little comb in a shallow bowl than a comb with a handle on it.
