Versatile little cakes!

These little cakes with whipped cream like centers are good, not overly sweet. I like one just out of the wrapper. But I also use them to make strawberry short cake. I have my berries cleaned and cut in half. And I also cut a Twinkie in half and place in a dessert dish. On top of it I spoon strawberries. Sometime I put whipped cream on top. Other times I cut a Twinkie in half and place sliced bananas on top. Then I put caramel ice cream topping all over. Use your imagination. Twinkie’s can serve as a base for whatever you like.

Who doesn't love Hostess Twinkies! They are a little firmer that I remember them to be but just as tasty. The cream is like a marshmallow fluff cream. The golden cake is moist and light tasting. These cakes have been around forever, I can see why!
