You can taste the smoke flavor, but it's not too strong. The flavor and texture of the mac and cheese is just as good as Beecher's original version just with the slight added smokiness for an interesting taste. The ingredients list is pretty good, and I appreciate the lack of chemical additives or preservatives. I transfer the frozen brick of mac and cheese out of the plastic coated container and into a glass baking dish to cook in the oven. My husband and I used this mac and cheese as a side dish for lunch and dinner so we got four servings out of the package.
