One mix offers two ways to prepare so you can have fun creating your signature gingerbread cutout cookies or making chewy gingerbread cookies. Family owned since 1932, our story started in Seattle with an easy-to-prepare pie crust mix named “Krusteaz” (crust + ease). Our innovative spirit helped us grow from a Northwest tradition to a national favorite bringing families together through great tasting food. Today our product line includes pancakes, waffles, muffins, breads, cookies, dessert bars, cornbread, crumb cakes and more. One bite and you’ll know why Krusteaz is a such a cherished tradition.
We’re not saying these are Santa’s favorite cookies. We’re not denying it either. Krusteaz Gingerbread Cookie Mix is made with molasses, cinnamon, and ginger for a mouth watering full bodied taste. And it's easy to use! Just add butter and egg and they'll be in the oven in minutes. Also makes great cake and waffles! Each box makes one to two dozen cookies, depending on the size of cookie desired.

Instructions

You'll need: **1 Egg **1 Stick (1/2 Cup) Butter or Margarine*, Softened (Not Melted) **Tip **Roll dough in raw sugar before baking for frosty shine and a sweet crunch. **1. Heat oven to 350°F. If necessary, soften cold butter in microwave on High power for 10-15 seconds. **2. Stir egg, butter and cookie mix until dough forms, hand kneading if necessary. **Scoop dough and place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. **Stir with a spoon **3. Bake as directed below or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes and remove from cookie sheet. Store cooled cookies in airtight container. **Yield: 18-22 cookies; Dough Quantity: 1 rounded tbsp; Bake Time: 9-11 minutes **Yield: 12 cookies; Dough Quantity: 2 rounded tbsp; Bake Time: 11-13 minutes **High Altitude (over 5,000 feet): Prepare dough as directed, adding tablespoons all-purpose flour. ***Real butter works best. If using margarine, use one that contains more than 65% oil.
