OBDeleven OBD2 Bluetooth Diagnostic Scanner, Check Engine Code Reader for iOS, Android

I recently bought an Audi A3, and wanted to do some maintenance on it. I found out that a VW/Audi requires factory coding for a lot of common procedures, like replacing a battery. When researching a DIY-friendly OBD tool to use to perform factory reset/coding, OBDEleven was one of the ones that was mentioned the most by enthusiasts. I was able to use this device to code the new battery to my car, as well as read the transmission fluid temperature, which is required during a fluid change. For the latter procedure with the transmission, I found that I was only able to get this data using the Android app called OBDEleven for VAG - I was not able to find the setting on the main OBDEleven app. I haven’t done this yet, but some coding procedures require you to pay additional charges, though these seem reasonable. Overall, I found this tool to be useful and fairly priced.

Must have tool if you own a Volkswagen or Audi vehicle. This tool can save you hundreds of dollars over the dealer and an Euro mechanic that does charges $180 for a diagnostic. It can also program other things like AC servo motors and for DSG transmission service.
