I don't have much experience or knowledge about binoculars. When I purchased this product I intended to use it for sporadic hiking trips. These binoculars were HUGE. Very nice and good quality but just not what I needed. It seems like it would be for professional use. I personally didn't like that you could only see things in red. It might be the night vision, but again, I am not very knowledgeable. I recommend this product if you will be using it consistently and at night. Keep in mind its on the bigger side.
