This is one super cool dragster! Love the engine flames!

As a grandpa, I share my love of drag racing and funny cars with my granddaughter and my grandson. I've also taken them to drag races. The Mario Kart Lego kit really excited the kids. We like everything Super Mario because our adult children grew up with Super Mario in the 1980's and now their kids get to enjoy Super Mario and Lego's. The car is fun, the lift is fun, and the kids thought the engine flames were really cool. We truly like this kit and will be adding more interactive figures to the kit.

Perfectly Mario, perfectly LEGO

I'm always amazed at what the geniuses at LEGO do to create anything out of bricks. These sets are obviously no exception. Building the famous B-Dasher and the various garage tools is so fun! And of course, the little Toads so it all so adorably. I hope the LEGO Mario Kart line continues for a long time because it's outrageously fun!

Fun Mario Kart Lego Set

I purchased the LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Toad's Garage - Nintendo Toy Building Set for $39.99. The set includes 390 pieces and four items to build, and it's designed for ages 8 and up. As a 3rd-grade teacher, I thought it would be a fun activity for my students, who are between 8 and 9 years old. I randomly selected three students to build the different items, breaking the instructions into sections so each student could work on one part at the same time. The class was really excited to build it, especially since it's Mario Kart-themed. However, they were a bit disappointed to discover that the Mario figure, along with Princess and Luigi, had to be purchased separately. Despite that, they still found the build interesting, particularly because it included moveable pieces. Bags 1 and 2 were a bit tricky due to some confusing pictures in the instructions. The arrows that indicated flipping or rotating pieces were difficult to interpret, especially since they were part of the vehicles. We also discovered we were missing one piece, but we managed to work around it. Overall, the students worked well together and really enjoyed the experience.
