Desiccated Shredded Coconut by Food to Live with no sugar added is a food that will give you a powerful nutritional boost. Shredded Coconut is a product made by shredding the ‘meat’ of raw coconut fruit and drying it. Coconut becomes desiccated when it’s almost entirely free of moisture. You can also grind the crumbling pieces of Coconut to make fine coconut powder at home. Shredded dried coconut is gluten-free, so you can use it to replace regular flour in sauces, dips, and baked goods.

Wonderful wonderful dessicated coconut! 1-1/2 cups of this 4 cups HOT water in blender, blend 5 minutes total (though I let it soak an hour or more in between multiple short blendings) ... strain with strainer in canning funnel into quart jars, then pour more HOT water over the strained coconut to make 2nd squeezing, squeeze out in clean muslin; end result, coconut milk with coconut oil on top, plus dry the residue afterwards, grind in coffee grinder for coconut flour. The whole thing gets used!
