So far, so good...

I bought this product to replace an under sink filter unit that was about 19 years old and started to leak the last time I changed filter cartridges and was no longer available. Since this was a replacement rather than a new installation, I hoped to use as much of the existing tubing as possible to minimize my labor. The box said all tools and tubing were in the box. It was after I opened the box that I found out that this unit uses 1/4" tubing. The unit that I replaced used 3/8" tubing. Fortunately I had 3/8" to 1/4" tubing adapters on hand. I used them and completed the installation. The unit has been flushed without any leaks. I am aware that each of the connections from 3/8" to 1/4" is a potential failure point, so I may have to revisit this. A handy tech tip is to use the .95" guide in the instruction manual to ensure the tubes going into the unit are seated. I am hoping for a long service life out of this unit.
