Before first use, soak the filter in clean tap water for 3 minutes to flush and release air bubbles. The AQUACREST faucet water filter uses a premium natural coconut activated carbon block, certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for reduction of chlorine, taste, and odor, and to NSF/ANSI 372 for lead-free material (search model "AQU-CF08A" on the NSF website). It reduces chlorine by up to 97.2% and effectively filters sediments, particles, rust, taste, and odor (third-party lab tested; does not reduce TDS). Replace the filter approximately every 3 months (varies with water quality). Compatible with PUR Classic, Advanced, and Horizontal faucet mounts (including PFM100B, PFM450S, and interchangeable with PUR RF-9999), this product is not sourced or sponsored by PUR.
