So upgraded from smart life catnip to this brand of kitty city premium natural catnip 2.5 cups and a much better quality much better texture and the cats absolutely love it. I have their scratching post laid out on the floor and I sprinkle it on there. They go to town on their scratching post. It gets them excited they play. I have four cats so they do make a mess with it, but that's OK as long as they enjoy it and have fun.

However when -30 temps drop on us during winter, one has to resort to what is available.
