Love this item, I bought this because I had one that ran 5-8 gallons thru daily and it lasted 2 years. However, the carafe is not ideal. Glass is great, but the pour spout is terrible. I bought a separate one with plastic top and pour spout that makes trasferring to my 3 gallon glass dispenser less messy.

It's very pretty stainless steel. The lid fits very nicely into place. The handle looks nice but is kinda non functional as the filled jar is too heavy to lift by the handle. Also the plug to connect lid to base is so snug it is had to pull out - kinda worry about pulling the plug in loose it's so tight.
