Sennheiser HD 620 S - Headphones - full size - wired - 3.5 mm jack - noise isolating - black

I had the chance today listening to these brand new cans at the High End 2024 in Munich ... and ... and I was quite impressed. I must admit, it is a real 600 series headphone and it delivers a quite impressive performance without the typical disadvantages of a closed back headphone. They are quite airy and what impresse me the most, they offer a really good soundstage bin detail a bit more wider than deeper. The treble is not over-brilliant, so for my ears, they are quite right and with a good level of details. On the positive side is the bass, good punch and deep. Yes, these cans have a good fun factor. The bass seperates quite well from the lower mids. The mid range is well balanced but female voices are slightly too present for my taste but all this is of course within a normal +/- range. The only downside for me - apart from the 150 Ohms - is the feel ... sorry, these cans feel a bit cheap and the pressure versus my head (small to medium size) could be a little less. However, they still feel comfy on my head. Overall, even they might feel a bit cheap, these headphones sound great and and are a great value for the money. I wished, they come with 50 Ohms to make them much more suitable for mobile usage ... they desreve it.
