Country style Tasty green beans
I've purchased Allen's Blue Lake green beans several times since I first tried them. Be sure to check the sodium content on the can and definitely don't add any salt. Rinse the green beans before cooking and don't use the water from the can when you cook them. I just add a little garlic powder, half an onion chopped and several pieces of cubed ham. Not many though bcoz the ham is salty too. Let them simmer for about 30 minutes on medium to low heat. Add great value whole new white potatoes in the can after 15 minutes. Cook another 15 to 20 minutes or until most of the excess water has evaporated.
