I have purchased more than one of these Better Homes and Gardens food storage sets. The 2.3 cup storage capacity units have bottoms made of plastic. The larger capacity food storage sets of the same brand and design all are made with glass bottoms. The plastic bottoms are disappointing so get a lower rating than the other sizes. In today's world of health conscious and fact finding people it is important to confirm to standard ideas completely, not just partially. Plastic is not recommended for food storage by use of humans or pets.
