I have 3 cats. They never went outside. Now sense we have moved here comes the fleas. It does start working within 30 minutes. It last for about 3 weeks. Was braking it up putting it in my cats wet food. They got smart, so I had to start putting it in there mouth to make sure they were getting it. I make sure I have water to help with the pill going down.
