I looked at so many models and eliminated those I didn't like (like buttons you push which would get dirty and hard to clean). I knew I would use this blender a lot since my husband likes a smoothie often. I wanted glass and not plastic and I didn't want to pay a fortune or have complicated features or have difficulty putting it together. I ordered it and it arrived THE NEXT DAY! It works great. Remember to put a liquid item in first otherwise you have to stop action and push the items down toward the blade. I laughed when one person's review said not to buy as the blades were sharp and could cut you. WHAT? You WANT sharp blades to cut up the items you want blended!
