This is a very nice pencil set. Leads are strong and durable, produce thin lines, smooth shading, vibrant colors, the sharpeners are great, plus a case! I never thought about sharpening a mechanical pencil, but it's a game changer even just for writing. The sharpeners did not break lead tip and sharpen to a fine sturdy point. I purchased the set because a reviewer said the leads don't snap or break, and they are right! I pressed as hard as I thought a child would, and the sharp tip did not break. The eraser leaves a shadow mark, but is pretty good, pink erasers work better. These pencils are great for writing, drawing or coloring. So smooth, glides on paper. Hold normal for fine lines, and tilt to use side to shade or color. The pencils only hold one lead, but it's quick and easy to switch colors. The pencils all have one lead in them from the factory. The pencils are very light, comfortable and easy to hold. My grandchildren love to draw, and I know they are going to love these pencils. I send them a care package of gifts for no reason a few times a year, they love the tradition, This is perfect for them and they have to share, lol. My youngest grandson is 5, this pencil is going to help him write so much better, the older 2 are artist but have "outgrown" it, hopefully these pencils will encourage them to draw more. The set would be good for adult coloring books. Luckily, I only have 3 grandchildren, because I love this set so much that I am keeping one pencil, one sharpener, some black and colored leads, but they can have the rest and the case, lol. I hope I can find lead refills because I love this set!
