Damp clothes constantly

It does have a big capacity, which is nice. We have had it for 6 months, and it has been very frustrating to get the clothes dry. I've tried every setting. The clothes are often slightly damp after every cycle, even with the heat and dryness setting all the way up. If I retry the cycle, it's sensors turn it off after a few minutes, even though the clothes are still slightly damp. The only way I can bypass this is by doing a "Quick Dry" cycle and turning the time up. The loads that aren't even very big are still coming out damp. I've checked and cleaned the vent hose and all filters, and there is no blockage. I've opened the door to the dryer and the door is covered in condensation still. Things should not still be so wet after drying at the highest setting for 1.5 hours. I've completely given up the hope of having a towel or blanket load dry fully in one go. I want hot, fluffy clothes, not cold, damp clothes. I don't have the time or energy to keep fighting with this thing.

Damaging clothes!!

We purchased what is rated as one of the top gas dryers according to Consumer Reports. We have had it approximately 7 weeks. During that time we have had 4 loads which resulted in clothing being damaged. There is a gap between the bottom of the drum and the lower plate inside the door. Items become caught in this gap and are twisted into a ball and damaged to the point where they are no longer wearable. After buying the washer and dryer from LG I did research and found similar complaints on the LG website. We also find it difficult, if at all possible, to customize out drying temperature.

Hello, LunaRae. Thank you for sharing your review with your LG DLG8401WE Gas dryer. We always aim to deliver exceptional fabric care and reliable performance for your laundry routines, so we want to ensure your clothing items are protected and dried exactly to your preferences during every cycle. When items occasionally get caught or twisted during a cycle, it can often be prevented by utilizing mesh garment bags for smaller or delicate items like straps and drawstrings that might easily stray toward the edges of the drum. Regarding temperature customization, you can easily adjust the heat levels by selecting a Manual Dry cycle, such as Speed Dry or Timed Dry, which unlocks full control over the temperature modifiers on your display panel. To find more helpful suggestions on how to protect your garments and optimize your drying settings, please visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-clothes-are-damaged--20154720307749. Good Dryer, can't see the control panel too dim.

Control Panel is so dim that I am having to make labels so that we know what cycle to choose from. I've bought new lighting, turned off the lighting in the room; nothing helped it's just too dim. Dries very well but we cannot figure out what setting to put it on if we can't see the control panel. I would send back the washer and drier if they had a control panel that was printed.
