There is room for lunch meat and drinks. We travel quite a bit. I am looking forward to not having ice packs or ice to keep up with. We got the 19 quart size for the back seat of the car. We are unable to put it in the rear as my scooter is in there. I do like it has both a connection for the car and able to plug it inside.
