WHAT A DIFFERENCE A BRAND MAKES, sometimes! While the whole organic Horizon tastes a lot like two percent milk, this organic whole milk from Better Goods tastes exactly like whole milk you buy in the refrigerated section. The body is right, color, texture ,mouth feel and most importantly, the TASTE is right. It's not like me to get excited about such a mundane thing, but this is a game changer for me. I didn't realize there could be so much difference from brand to brand in shelf stable milk. I buy this because I live alone and use very little milk, but I need for it to be available when I want it. Even organic half gallons from the fridge section will go bad long before I can finish them, sometimes even before I get round to opening them. So this is perfect, knowing that when I want milk, I have it and it's fresh every time. I previously used Horizon for this purpose, but since I've had good luck with other Better Goods products, I thought I'd give this a try since I only had one tetrapak of that left. And while it's not essential or relevant, I also really like that it comes in little clear plastic bottles rather than tetrapaks. When you peel away the tamper proof covering, they look like miniature versions of old school glass milk bottles. I'm a weirdo, so I see uses for those little screw top bottles, once washed and dried. Spices, small bits of hardware, tiny liquid leftovers of things used while cooking, tiny domes for very small trinkets and figurines...
