Formawell One Inch 24K Gold Pro Flat Iron Hair Straightener | Ultra-Fast Heating to 450°F with LED Display

Let me begin by saying that my hair is super course, naturally curly hair so in order to flat iron it and make it look good, I have to have a flat iron that will sustain at least 430 degrees, but I prefer 450 degrees. This iron does the 450 with ease, very quickly and the digital readout allows me to watch it progress, which I liked. I tested this flat iron and it straightens my hair like a champion on one pass, even. The iron I was replacing was a Chi and I've been loyal to Chi for many, many years now, so I am comparing this $18 flat iron to a $100 Chi, which is not really fair but I cannot help but do that. The cord on this Formawell is far superior to the cord on the Chi, which is the whole reason I bought a new iron. My Chi cord looked like it had been through a tornado, all twisted up beyond repair. Well, this cord is round and it swivels and they give you Velcro to shorten it to the exact length you need. The button is one button and it's on the inside, so you do not have to worry about accidentally turning your iron off while using it like some of the poorly designed models. Lastly, I want to leave you with the two things that I did not like about this iron, but I am keeping it anyway. 1. It says "Kendall Jenner" on it and I'm not a fan. 2. The pretty gold plates are not quite as smooth as the ceramic plates on my beat up old Chi. This iron did not snag my hair or pull hair out or catch on anything, but there was a tiny bit of friction there. Maybe that will resolve itself in time, not sure, but I like it well enough to put up with that. I would recommend this iron, even if you have been a loyal Chi user in the past because it functions almost the same and for the price, you could literally buy 5 of these to one Chi.

Bought this from a deferent website about 2 years ago for $40 and loved it. This was only $20 and it came in a different cheaper box but the product works okay.
