Since we started school at home, pencil sharpening has been an essential daily task. This sharpener can handle anything we throw at it! It can sharpen 6 different size pencils (including 3 sided!) so you'll never need another sharpener, that's for sure. The area around the sharpener is illuminated which adds a cool style, I really like that. Its large capacity makes it so we don't have to empty it as often as a standard pencil sharpener and the shavings tray is easily removed for cleaning. Since this is a larger sharpener, it has suction cups on the bottom so it adds to the stability. It's not very loud and is really fast so sharpening isn't a pain like with manual sharpeners! Definitely recommend for homeschool or home office use. It's been a lifesaver!

I was surprised at it's size. Definitely a commercial grade sharpener. The glow blue light tells you the pencil has completed sharpening, and it also automatically shuts off at the same time. It has 6 different size opening for various different pencils. It also works on hex carpenter/contractor pencils and triangle shaped. It has a strong suction to the counter or table and the angle makes it easier to use when standing. The slight rotation from it's force is enough to make an even cut. It has replaceable cutters in a cartridge form. That is really a nice feature for heavy users. I like that when the cup is removed to empty shavings, the sharpener won't turn on. It's a nice quiet unit. How nice this wood be in a schoolroom setting.
