Only has a 30 minute life; then dies

My housekeeper used the vacuum (brand new out of the box) for approximately 30 minutes and it just quit. There was no blockage or anything. Instructions say to turn switch off, wait, then turn back on. Na da. Called Oreck Commercial. They said it was probably the switch and could be repaired. I'm not messing with repairs after 30 minutes of use. Returning to Walmart today.
